Situation
It is a convenient gateway to the Sulu Sea and beyond when coming from the Visayas and to the Visayas when coming from the west.
Crossroad
Tambobo Bay is open to the Bohol Sea through a narrow passage which needs to be negotiated properly and accurately. There are no dangers close by. Make sure to avoid Apo Island coming from the east at night.
The Bay is ideally placed for a break before crossing to Palawan or coming from Palawan before crossing to Cebu, Siquijor, Bohol or Surigao.
